PROCLAMATION

We, who may be non-practicing, or non-believing, even atheistic, and possibly of any erstwhile pagan persuasion, in the interest of promoting inter-faith goodwill and tolerance, hereby make the following proclamation:

– we are gathering 100 Torahs                                                                                                                             

– we are gathering 100 Bibles                                                                                                                                                        

– we are gathering 100 Korans,                                                                                                                                       

– we are gathering 100 scriptures of various other religions                                                                         

– we will place all of these into one common stack.                                                                                   

– we will then ignite that stack to create a single EUCUMENICAL BONFIRE.

By this act we expect the resulting world-wide outrage of all these religious groups will then be focused on us….rather than on each other….and from that, we earnestly hope that this world of ours may then have not only peace and quiet….but permanent relief from ever-continuing, never-ending inter-faith squabbling.

To that end, therefore, we consider this to be our contribution to the cause of achieving ….WORLD PEACE….at last.
