LISTEN UP…ALL YOU PRESIDENTIAL WANNABE’S…
( ’cause there’ll a bitch of pop quiz for you next November)

None of you so far, and we mean…none of you…, are showing us anything that merits our considering your application for that office.

Instead of showing us that you have any kind of broad vision and perspective for what’s best for our country as a whole, all we see and hear from each of you is a lot of useless babble and hot air about what your competitor(s) did or did not do about whatever, or else, how much better you are than them, etc., etc., etc..

Sorry, but that’s not what we want to hear from any candidate for President.

What we do want is for one of you (from whatever party) to stand up, and in plain old American English tell it to us as it is. That is, what you see what’s wrong with the condition of our country, what needs to be done to either fix or improve that condition going forward from where we are today, and, how you plan to do that…if elected.

We might not agree or like anything you propose, but at least we’ll then know exactly what to expect from you…so we can make a considered and relatively informed decision about who to vote for comes next November.

It’s that simple.

Well, the thing about “democracy” is that it allows us to vote…dumb…as well as…smart. We Americans keep proving that every time we vote, but this time maybe, just maybe, we’ll try “smart.”
