Not many women celebrities manage to go from hot wild young chick to grand old broad with irrepressible style, verve, and wit to the very end. She did…and then some.

Comedy comes in many forms, sizes, and shapes, with no two performers of it ever being quite alike. Each have their own particular brand and flavor, from slyly satirical, wildly physical, to the intellectually whimsical, and just plain raunchily…nuts, all, reflecting in their way the tenor of their times.

We’ve been around long enough to have experienced first-hand the likes of Charlie Chaplin, Laurel and Hardy, Edgar Bergen, and most of the rest of that galaxy of hilarity stars that have followed into our present time. If we tried to name them all, the list might resemble an entire section of the Yellow Pages, and the variety is much too wide to corral into only a category or two.

All we can say is…it’s been one hell of a ROFL run, so, thanks, and God bless them all, every one, for all those memories of it. Life would surely have been duller…without them.
