EVERYONE IS DOING IT…DOING IT… DOING IT…
(…hacking…the devil’s spawn of our digital universe…)
Hacking is here to stay.
Everyone is doing it…doing it…doing it…the devil’s spawn of our digital universe, much like a pandemic of cyber wars raging without restraint in cyber space. It’s a virulent form of disruptive even destructive vandalism to be found among teenage techno-nerds, gossip scandal mongers, business and financial interests, political tricksters, self-appointed vigilante groups such as Anonymous and WikiLeaks, national governments and their intelligence agencies, and of course, the world’s ever present criminal community always looking for better and slicker ways to steal a buck.
In short, the wild, wild world of the hacker-sphere is the bane of our digital existence, making us long for the good old days of analog systems where unless someone had the specific codes for access to a specific platform, they couldn’t easily exercise any form of intrusion. Unlike today in the analog world our vaunted “interconnectedness” was always selective…and private.
Well, perhaps there is some kind of genius out there who, instead of coming up with one more useless “app” that no one really needs or wants, will happily devise a truly useful and valuable means of making this hacking disease not only obsolete but terminated with extreme prejudice. That is, by coming up with the electronic equivalent of an electrical transformer, to convert digital data into analog formats, thereby making such data undecipherable by any of those digitally conditioned hackers.
We don’t know if such a thing is technically feasible, but, if it were, that would indeed be a contribution to the world community worthy of a Nobel Prize.
